Is there any way I can fix it, so i can use Xft? Make sure all your ports are up-to-date. In particular, freetype2, Xft, and fontconfig must be current. Make sure you do _not_ have the mozilla-fonts port installed. I recommend installing x11-fonts/webfonts to get a nice set of TrueType fonts. Make sure you have the XFree86 scalable font port installed. That is: XFree86-fontScalable-4.2.0 Here's what I have, and I'm generally happy with Mozilla's anti-aliasing functionality: XFree86-FontServer-4.2.0_1 XFree86-4 Font Server XFree86-font100dpi-4.2.0 XFree86-4 bitmap 100 dpi fonts XFree86-font75dpi-4.2.0 XFree86-4 bitmap 75 dpi fonts XFree86-fontCyrillic-4.2.0_4 XFree86-4 Cyrillic Fonts XFree86-fontDefaultBitmaps-4.2.0 XFree86-4 default bitmap fonts XFree86-fontEncodings-4.2.0 XFree86-4 font encoding files XFree86-fontScalable-4.2.0 XFree86-4 Scalable font files Xft-2.1 A client-sided font API for X applications fontconfig-2.1_2 An XML-based font configuration API for X Windows freetype-1.3.1_2 A free and portable TrueType font rendering engine freetype2-2.1.3_1 A free and portable TrueType font rendering engine ttmkfdir-0.0_1 Create fonts.scale file for use with TrueType font server urwfonts-1.0 Another font package for X webfonts-0.21_1 TrueType core fonts for the Web Joe >=20 > Palle >=20 --=20 PGP Key : http://www.marcuscom.com/pgp.asc --=-a/xMaiCTanBue1VqhR61 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQA+OIkMb2iPiv4Uz4cRAuSaAJsHdLmkn/kK6lKq9WvvnFXqA+BJ2QCgl3VJ ZSU4rOBSkhDzu+ckyxNluyY= =L+dM -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-a/xMaiCTanBue1VqhR61-- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mozilla" in the body of the message
