I added the hook stuff for CAM origionally. CAM releases it's hook as soon as it has finished finding all devices, but not necessarily before the attach for those devices has completed. Any device that is still doing attach processing will block in open until it's done. This means that the boot progresses even while we're still figuring out things like if your CDROM drive has media in it. >-Bill -- Justin
