system: Compaq Deskpro 386/25; 5 Meg RAM

I've been trying to install 2.1.0 on the above machine and when writing
partition information to the drive a panic occurs and the machinr reboots.

The error message is:

wd0: hard error reading fsbn 69 (wd0 bn 69; cn 0 th 1 sn 6)wd0: status 59
<seekdone,drq,err> error 10<no_id>

init dies (signal 0, exit 1)

panic: Going nowhere without my init!

syncing disks... done etc.

-------
The controller is of the ESDI type .
Any help appreciated.

Ian.
