Using a Sony Vaio PCG-GR250P laptop. Can't get sound to response in FreeBSD 4.8 Did everything the FreeBSD handbook suggested. dmesg has this under pcm: pcm0: <Intel 82801CA (ICH3)> irq 9 at device 31.5 on pci0 pcm0: unable to map IO port space device_probe_and_attach: pcm0 attach returned 6 Does that seem un-fixable to you? Or is it something that's still tweakable, somehow?
