I tried booting 5.3-RELEASE with AS1000 5/333 and it fails with following error message: --- snip --- eisab0: at device 7.0 on pci0 unexpected machine check: mces = 0x1 vector = 0x660 param = 0xfffffc0000006060 pc = 0xfffffc000071d7d4 ra = 0xfffffc00003b8194 curproc = 0xfffffc00008ccde0 pid = 0, comm = swapper panic: machine check --- snip --- Exactly the same problems was in following posting: http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/htdig/freebsd-alpha/2004-August/001791.html But I didn't found out did it work in that case. I have been running 4.11-STABLE for some time, and would upgrade to 5.X as soon as possible. Is there any hope that this is fixed in 5.4? http://vapina.org/~core/alpha/sysctl.txt http://vapina.org/~core/alpha/dmesg.txt -- ghnomb@IRCNet
