This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --------------070209020108090009020308 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Howdy. As will be quickly apparent, I'm a UNIX-y newb. I'm encountering an error when building OpenOffice-1.1. Per the instructions of the error, I'm attaching a copy of: 1) the output of the error in my make command (ooomakefail), 2) there were two error messages that weren't showing up up in that output, so I've included those as well (ooerrors), 3) the output of 'ls /var/db/pkg' (vardbpkg) and 4) the config.log file. I hope this helps you guys out. Thanks Lewis --------------070209020108090009020308 Content-Type: text/plain; name="ooerrors" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline; filename="ooerrors" configure: WARNING: you should use --build, --host, --target configure: error: /usr/local/jdk1.4.1/bin/javac not found set with_jdk_home --------------070209020108090009020308 Content-Type: text/plain; name="ooomakefail" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline; filename="ooomakefail" ===> openoffice-1.1.0_1 depends on executable: gcc33 - found ===> openoffice-1.1.0_1 depends on file: /usr/local/jdk1.4.1/bin/java - not found ===> Verifying install for /usr/local/jdk1.4.1/bin/java in /usr/ports/java/jdk14 ===> Returning to build of openoffice-1.1.0_1 ===> openoffice-1.1.0_1 depends on executable: zip - found ===> openoffice-1.1.0_1 depends on executable: unzip - found ===> openoffice-1.1.0_1 depends on file: /usr/local/bin/ant - found ===> openoffice-1.1.0_1 depends on file: /usr/X11R6/lib/libgdk-x11-2.0.so - found ===> openoffice-1.1.0_1 depends on file: /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so - found ===> openoffice-1.1.0_1 depends on file: /usr/X11R6/lib/libXft.so - found ===> openoffice-1.1.0_1 depends on executable: Xvfb - found ===> openoffice-1.1.0_1 depends on executable: gmake - found ===> openoffice-1.1.0_1 depends on file: /usr/local/bin/autoconf - found ===> openoffice-1.1.0_1 depends on executable: gcc33 - found ===> openoffice-1.1.0_1 depends on executable: bison - found ===> openoffice-1.1.0_1 depends on executable: pkg-config - found ===> openoffice-1.1.0_1 depends on shared library: jpeg.9 - found ===> openoffice-1.1.0_1 depends on shared library: png.5 - found ===> openoffice-1.1.0_1 depends on shared library: mng.1 - found ===> openoffice-1.1.0_1 depends on shared library: freetype.9 - found ===> openoffice-1.1.0_1 depends on shared library: glib12.3 - found ===> openoffice-1.1.0_1 depends on shared library: gtk12.2 - found ===> openoffice-1.1.0_1 depends on shared library: ORBit.2 - found ===> Configuring for openoffice-1.1.0_1 ******************************************************************** * * * OpenOffice.org build configuration. * * * * The configure proces checks your platform to see whether * * you can build OpenOffice.org on it. * * This proces checks all pre-requisites and generates a file * * containing the necessary environment variables. * * Source this file after configure has ended successfully. * * * * Any warning that is generated during the configure process * * must be taken into account, since it can be a reason for * * an unsuccessfull build of OpenOffice.org * * * ******************************************************************** ******************************************************************** * * * Checking the platform pre-requisites. * * * ******************************************************************** checking for gawk... no checking for mawk... no checking for nawk... nawk checking for nawk... /usr/bin/nawk checking for sed... /usr/bin/sed checking the operating system... checking the FreeBSD operating system release... found OSVERSION=490000 checked (FreeBSD) checking for i386-portbld-freebsd4.9-gcc... gcc33 checking for C compiler default output... a.out checking whether the C compiler works... yes checking whether we are cross compiling... no checking for suffix of executables... checking for suffix of object files... o checking whether we are using the GNU C compiler... yes checking whether gcc33 accepts -g... yes checking for gcc33... /usr/local/bin/gcc33 checking the GNU gcc compiler version... checked (gcc 3.3.3) checking the GNU make version... checked (gmake 3.80) checking how to run the C preprocessor... gcc33 -E checking for ANSI C header files... yes checking pam_appl.h... yes checking for i386-portbld-freebsd4.9-g++... g++33 checking whether we are using the GNU C++ compiler... yes checking whether g++33 accepts -g... yes checking try to compile exception code...
