The /dev/random implimentation in -current is completly different
to that in -stable and is based on the Yarrow system. It is unlikely
that the random system in -stable will be replaced at this stage;
if it is it would probably be replaced with a backport of Yarrow.

There are papers on Yarrow available on www.counterpane.com.
