The platform all the systems are developed and deployed on is FreeBSD. The products are a mixture of ISP level services such as anti-virus/anti-spam mail systems and consumer SME products i.e. a FreeBSD based internet appliance. You must be strong in both C and Perl programming with a reasonable grasp of SQL and a basic understanding of XML. You must be able to work at our office in Bristol, UK. The ideal candidate must be capable of working in a collaborative environment but using their own initiative to perform a variety of roles across the whole product life cycle, including requirements gathering, system design, coding, testing and documentation. Required abilities include: 5+ years C programming, must be comfortable working in an Embedded environment and on Client Server applications. 5+ years Perl programming with a solid knowledge of DBI/SQL.
