It was suggested to me that I post this to the members of the group.

Does anyone know if FBSD supports the NEW 250 meg version of the paralled
port zip drive? If so, where shall I look for help? If not, is there a
temporary workaround or tentative plans to support this device in the
future? I have asked this question before, but i don't really get a direct
answer. The parallel port zip driver webpage seems outdated/obsolete, and
doesn't address the 250 meg ZIP PLUS version that I have. Unfortunately,
Linux is a bit ahead on this one.
