Hi,

Just to make things a little clearer, here is my ppp.conf, and
ppp.linkup
files. I might add that I have nothing special in my sysconfig file.
I might add, I get the same effect dialing in to the NT box using a
Microannex
with PAP set.

#####################ppp.conf####################################################
default:
 set device /dev/cuaa1
 set speed 115200
set debug phase chat lqm lcp
 set timeout 3600
set dial "ABORT BUSY ABORT NO\\sCARRIER TIMEOUT 10 \"\" ATZ OK-AT-OK
ATE1Q0 OK-
AT-OK \\dATDT\\T TIMEOUT 40 CONNECT"
# If you prefer to use PAP authentication, use this one.
# % ppp ISP
ISP:
 set authname xxxxxxxx
 set authkey xxxxxxxxx
 accept pap
 set openmode active
 disable pap
 disable pred1
 deny pred1
 disable lqr
 deny lqr
 disable chap
 deny chap
 set phone 403337
 set ifaddr 203.22.80.21/0 203.22.80.20/0
 add 0 0 203.22.80.20
