If your key has a passphrase like mine does, you have to enter it a variable number of times (depending on number of files touched) and that variables from 5+. It's a pain. Better to have a script than not at all, but I can't believe there's not a much better near-automated way to backport changes. FYI, for pkgsrc, individual commiters don't do this. They make a request and a dedicated (small) team handles the backport. Nobody touches a quarterly except for them. John
