Sorry for intrusion but it DOES work (with some of WMAs, at least). What 
I've done was comment out ONLY_FOR_ARCHS line and then "make CC='cc -fpic 
-DPIC'" was all. BTW, mplayer and ffplayer (from ffmpeg - or perhaps 
ffmpeg-devel - port) also can play WMAs.
