The 6.4.2 release of devel/py-setuptools has been committed recently which =
has
textproc/py-tomli as a fixed dependency. The reported issue and other issues
with ports that require "setuptools_scm[toml]" should be fixed.

I'll leave this bug open for a few days for reference.
