Can you install 3.1 (from the CDs) when one of the patitions already has a UFS and files on it? ISTR, back in the 2.2.x days that sysinstall *insisted* on doing a newfs on *all* the partitions you selected. For example, if the partition I want to use for /usr has an existing UFS and files on it will thoses files still be there after I install FreeBSD (assuming of course that they do not have the same filename as files that are installed, in which case they would be overwritten). -- FreeBSD - The Power To Serve http://www.freebsd.org My Webpage http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~markov _______________________________________________________________ Mark Ovens, CNC Apps Engineer, Radan Computational Ltd.
