Subject:   Fresh install on an existing UFS - possible?

Can you install 3.1 (from the CDs) when one of the patitions already
has a UFS and files on it? ISTR, back in the 2.2.x days that
sysinstall *insisted* on doing a newfs on *all* the partitions you
selected.

For example, if the partition I want to use for /usr has an existing
UFS and files on it will thoses files still be there after I install
FreeBSD (assuming of course that they do not have the same filename
as files that are installed, in which case they would be overwritten).
