From a nightly security check output:

This is the same machine that has the mystery crashes (see my message
yesterday).  It's an IDE disk.  This looks to me like a disk hardware
error.  Can someone confirm what causes this message?  Is a disk
subsystem fault a plausible cause of the mystery crashes? Seems
plausible to me...
