I think you forgot the Cw entry's in your sendmail.cf
Example:
Cwlocalhost www.vcd.com vcd.com mail.vcd.com

All hosts that should be delivered local (on that host) you should define
here.

I think your DNS entry is ok, didn't take enough time to look at it
carefully, but if you at least have an

hostname.domain.	A	ip-adress
			MX 10	mail.host
			MX 50	fallback.mail.host

it must be ok.
