Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk Hello, For several weeks I have been having difficulty trying to get FreeBSD to recognize port sio0. Today I changed the irq value to -1 in config and it recognized port sio0. Instead of the "irq 4 on isa" that I wanted, it said " on isa " (with no irq). Should this work? Also, Today my ISP gave me the necessary addresses to fill out the network configuration page that is toward the end of the installation process. Do these look OK? host rjob domain gulftel.com gateway 0.0.0.0 nameserver 208.222.57.2 ip address 0.0.0.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 After I toggle to the ppp page, I immediately see "warning can't create /var/run/tun0.pid: no such file or directory" " can't create /var/run/cuaa0.if" (shows up later) Thanks for your help, Bob Olbrich rjob@gulftel.com
