HAL doesn't really seem to provide anything to xfce4.8, so I've been 
running without it enabled.  Aside from an annoying "WB: pre-dbus 
shutdown" warning on logout, it works fine.

Is there any way to avoid that error?  Or is there any reason to still 
enable hal?
