Have FreeBSD 4.8 client with Linksys card. Intersil Prism 2.5 - not the WMP11 with the Broadcom chip. dmesg.boot shows wi0. ifconfig wi0 shows everything fine but no signal wicontrol -L lists my AP as available. AP shows client error if I deny access to client's MAC but does not show a connect or any errors if I allow the client MAC. Running in infrastructure (BSS) mode. Authmode shared. WEP enabled. Is there a specific command to instruct a client to associate with an available AP? Thanks, DH
