I've got a FreeBSD-2.0.5 machine which I want to make an NIS client. I am bound up etc no problem and can ypcat passwd successfully, but I can not log in as any of the NIS users. I know this is because crypt is not compatible with other unix crypts. My question is, what exactly must I do to get this to work. I tried getting the secrdist from South Africa which mostly compiled however I still couldn't log in. Thanks for any help and sorry for asking a FAQ. -Steve
