Holy Moly! I've been using FreeBSD-5.x since the autoship subscription dropped in my mailbox, and have never had a lockup on it. But it is certainly possible, since there are some new drivers, new infrastructures, etc. I would ask this question on the freebsd-questions list, AND include a lot more information, such as your hardware, any messages, what you're doing when it happens, etc. David
