If this is a clue, perhaps something isn't aligned properly after the PCI initialization phase, perhaps because the system has both a 7860 and a 7890 onboard and sharing an interrupt. I've stuck a few printk commands into the pci initialization routine to see if it is completed before the system dies. It looks like your system isn't getting to the reset code either. rgb Robert G.
