Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG I hope this message will be found by german FreeBSD-users having problems with our TELEKOM . 1) Whatever TELEKOM and BILL GATE's software-products say: TDSL is exactly the same thing as ADSL ! Especially your TDSL-modem is an ADSL-modem. 2) Whatever SUSE-Linux says: you do not need any special configuration tool or PPPoE-program. ADSL uses a protocol called PPPoE but that can be run by FreeBSD's ppp. 3) If you are looking for good technical advice: Have a look at www.ruhr.de/home/nathan/FreeBSD/tdsl-freebsd.html (german manual) 4) If you need any other sort of consolation: send a mail to my address. Maybe I am at home. And: Sorry and Thanks to all people on this list, whose nerves I was getting on.
