https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D285144 Bug ID: 285144 Summary: devel/avrdude: Add build option for libserialport Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: joerg@FreeBSD.org Reporter: parakleta@darkreality.org Assignee: joerg@FreeBSD.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(joerg@FreeBSD.org) devel/libserialport is a 'magic' dependency for avrdude which is linked in = if present when it is built, and not otherwise. This leads to confusing situations where it behaves differently depending on the state of the syste= m it is built on. This should be an explicit build option. This support is critical for the new AVR chips using the UPDI interface for programming, so it would be nice for this build option to also be activated= by default so that the binary package has the feature available.
