The problem is not that one: When I type "make install" from the top
makefile , everything builds well, but the installation breaks. I have
to  cd to $(WRKSRC)/xbl*/ and type make install there (weird isn't it?).

Perhaps something like
...
do-install:
	@(cd work/xbl-1.00; make install)

but I'm not a makefile expert.
