This is actually easier than it sounds; go to /var/db/pkg > and say 'pkg_delete *', and keep doing it until the directory is empty. 8) Oddly, people pointed out that pkg_delete supported globbing, but nobody mentioned the -f flag, which forces it to delete the package even if that might cause problems. Doing that should empty the directory the first time you run 'pkg_delete -f *'.
