In that case, you are not using static IPs. If your ISP has assigned you - as in Poly's example - 123.456.789.1 through 123.456.789.25, then those addresses are for your use to assign as you see fit. You would configure this machine's interface for any address in that block. You can then configure the same interface for more than one of those, or use your extra IPs for other machines (or interfaces).
