I was hoping that once I got my threading issues sorted out, OO would
compile... but nope. Since this seems Java-related I've tried both with
WITH_BSD_JDK and without. My currently installed JDKs are:

jdk-1.4.2p7
linux-sun-jdk-1.4.2.06
