Erm, not quite.  /etc/defaults is for things that have nothing to do
with ports - ports should have its own defaults/ if it wants to have
similar functionality.  We just got rid of the bogus "coupling" of
/usr/ports and /usr/src by moving the mk files for ports and should
continue that trend in other areas unless we want our old
syncronization problems back again.
