To install FreeBSD/amd64 on this laptop you will need to press the spacebar until the system beeps or when you see "/boot/kernel/kernel". The system has no problems booting off the Hard Drive. Currently there are only a couple of devices that are not supported by native FreeBSD drivers: ndis0: <Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter> mem 0xc0204000-0xc0205fff irq 21 at device 2.0 on pci6 ndis0: NDIS API version: 5.1 none0@pci0:20:6: class=0x070300 card=0x309b103c chip=0x43781002 rev=0x02 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'ATI Technologies Inc' class = simple comms subclass = generic modem none1@pci6:4:3: class=0x018000 card=0x309b103c chip=0x8033104c rev=0x00 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Texas Instruments (TI)' device = 'PCIxx21 Integrated FlashMedia Controller' class = mass storage none2@pci6:4:4: class=0x080500 card=0x309b103c chip=0x8034104c rev=0x00 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Texas Instruments (TI)' class = base peripheral Copyright (c) 1992-2006 The FreeBSD Project.
