X will find the PCI IDs for you.

I can't recall whether that includes XFree86 3 or 4.  It's better to
use 4.  Run X -configure and it will discover the cards for you.  See
http://www.lemis.com/grog/hardware.html for a discussion of some
aspects of multi-card X setup.
