This laptop has a Synaptics touchpad, and when I try to move the cursor I get a tap that is interpreted as a mouse click. I would like to disable the use of a tap as a mouse click or, if this is not possible, to be able to configure the pressure needed to get a tap. With the current settings, trying to use X-Window is a pain. I have searched the mailing lists archives and I have found some references to a patch to be applied to FreeBSD 4.0, so a tool from Linux can be used. Does anybody know if there is a way to configure the touchpad in 4.1-RELEASE in an easy way? Is there something expected to be included in the next release? Thanks, Alberto Molina ------_=_NextPart_001_01C04322.6EE3B620 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 3.2//EN"> <HTML> <HEAD> <META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <META NAME="Generator" CONTENT="MS Exchange Server version 5.5.2650.12"> <TITLE>Touchpad & tap: how to disable</TITLE> </HEAD> <BODY> <P><FONT SIZE=2>Hi,</FONT> </P> <P><FONT SIZE=2>I have installed FreeBSD 4.1-RELEASE on a Dell CPi-R.</FONT> <BR><FONT SIZE=2>This laptop has a Synaptics touchpad, and when I try</FONT> <BR><FONT SIZE=2>to move the cursor I get a tap that is interpreted as</FONT> <BR><FONT SIZE=2>a mouse click.
