OK, I know I am overlooking something simple, but I can't see it.

#include <sys/types.h>
#include <sys/time.h>
#include <stdio.h>

main () {
printf("It is now %s\n", ctime(time()));
};

I also tried
 ctime(time((time_t*)0))
 ctime(time(NULL))
and
 ctime(1000000)

The last one gave an answer, the rest core dumped.

What should I use?
