(see output in attached file) However, if i adjust my device.hints file then sio will recognize the chip as 8250 UART. the same effect can be achieved by killing and then starting pccardd again. (see output in attached file) but that is not all, even if i can force sio to recognize the card when i try to access it (write to /dev/cuaa?, /dev/tty?) my laptop hangs completely. i even can not break into debugger. i'm attaching some useful (i hope) information. any suggestion how to resolve/debug the problem would be greatly appreciated. thanks, max p.s. linux also was not able to recognize the card :( --------------65BE0391DB117D63BB6EB3E9 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; name="info.txt" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline; filename="info.txt" # uname -a FreeBSD beetle 5.0-CURRENT FreeBSD 5.0-CURRENT #12: Thu Feb 7 12:23:45 PST 2002 root@beetle:/usr/src/sys/i386/compile/BEETLE i386 ============================8<======================================== boot -v output # dmesg Copyright (c) 1992-2001 The FreeBSD Project.
