Go into your / directory (root) and 
mv kernel GENERIC.kernel
then make ENIGMA
when your reboot at the prompt

boot:
<enter the name of the file you want>

i.e. GENERIC.kernel OR kernel

Hope this is what your were looking for!

BTW I am still having problems getting my AWE 64 GOld card to work,
too!
