Running time for the first book.sgml: About 7 seconds on My AMD K6-3 400 :-) It doesn't really matter if the input is properly formatted or not - the script takes every single bit of formatting, drops it into the trash bin and reformats. , and elements are preserved, of course. > * indent properly.
