And will try anew.( the ati installed fine on NT4.0 - via OEM support ). Now let me try w/the STB card - so far I have be getting some fatal x error mess. and can't get x working. but i'll try again today. i am a bit cranky, been up all nite trying to get x to work. in contrast freeBSD itself installs beautifully. ----- Original Message ----- From: Nguyen, Olivier T [AMSTA-AR-CCF-D] To: 'leegold' ; Sent: Wednesday, June 07, 2000 10:56 AM Subject: RE: x-windows > yo > what graphic card you have ? > i have ati and other s3 graphic card and it just work fine. i choose > xwindows setup during the freebsd install. > > -----Original Message----- > From: leegold [mailto:goldtech@worldpost.com] > Sent: Wednesday, June 07, 2000 10:40 AM > To: freebsd-newbies@FreeBSD.ORG > Subject: x-windows > > > permission to speak freely: > > i am having a nasty time trying to get xFree86 to work. the freeBSD install > itself is easy and fun. but the x is a hassel. anybody know any > alternatives? i'd be willing to try. is freex86 the "only show in town" for > windows action w/FreeBSD? > > > > > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org > with "unsubscribe freebsd-newbies" in the body of the message > > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org > with "unsubscribe freebsd-newbies" in the body of the message To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-newbies" in the body of the message
