https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D262903 Bug ID: 262903 Summary: sysutils/screen: Don't install SUID root by default Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: cy@FreeBSD.org Reporter: david@isnic.is Assignee: cy@FreeBSD.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(cy@FreeBSD.org) Created attachment 232795 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=3D232795&action= =3Dedit Patch to add SUID option for sysutils/screen, default off The sysutils/screen port installs the screen binary as setuid root. From my testing this does not appear necessary. For comparison, the debian package does not install the binary SUID. This patch adds a port option to keep the SUID bit if someone wants to do t= hat. The default is a non-SUID install. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
