Unfortunately, so far, the only issue with iLO that has forced me to physically power the machine down, I don't know what I did, or how to recreate it ... *somehow* I got the ssh interface to a state where when you logged in, the iLO prompt would continuously scroll up the screen, and not let you type in anything ... I couldn't find a means to 'reset iLO' from within the web interface, which still did work, and, of course, couldn't do the reset from the ssh interface ... >> Finally found an iLO manual on my Documentation CD ... all 197 pages of it >> ... just printed it off (prefer reading paper over PDF), and *wow* ... >> this thing does alot ... but, so far, I haven't found a way to 'reset the >> web interface' ... does anyone know how to do so? > > > Marc, The SMASH interface provides a method of resetting all of iLO, which > I have mentioned before, but there is no way to reset the web interface > independently. Actually, finally found the docs for iLO on my HP CDs, printed it out and have been *slowly* trying to get through all 197 pages of it *shiver* ... resetting iLO did fix the web interface issue ... Stupid question ... is there a reason against resetting iLO? Are there some sort of stats that iLO maintains that gets lost on a reset? ---- Marc G.
