2.2.7 + PAO.  ed ethernet works just fine.  the 3com modem
card is recognized just fine:

Jan 26 17:35:07 sloop pccardd[41]: Card "3Com"("3CXM/3CCM556") [Megahertz 56K Cell/Telephony Modem] [^?] matched "3Com" ("3CXM/3CCM556") [(null)] [(null)] 

but i get the following error:

Jan 26 17:35:07 sloop pccardd[41]: Resource allocation failure for "3Com"("3CXM/3CCM556"); Reason specified CIS was not found 
 
and the card isn't useable.

can someone shed some light on what the "CIS was not found" message
means?
