If I understand the bug report properly, then yes, transcode used to not work with ffmpeg-devel (which I assume is at 0.8.x, I haven't looked), but version 1.1.6 included compatibility with that version of ffmpeg, and the port is now up to version 1.1.7 of transcode, so I believe the bug in this report no longer exists.
