In it, you would have a series of things to do to upgrade from older releases. New things would be added to the head, and from time to time purged from the end. It would look something like: 19981226: Fixed world. 19981224: Broke world, file systems corrupted, drivers panic machines, vm system doesn't do anything useful. 19981115: Make sure that you have /etc/pam.conf, since pam code was added. 19981103: Need to rebuild all kernel stuff, as sizes changed. 3.0 release 19971224: Added network user/group. ppp will fail to work if you don't add these users. I'll act as a clearing house for these things. I'll start with today and move forward. I'll commit things on a weekly basis, or more frequently if I have time. Comments?
