I did the change under 4.4, however, an analysis of the bsd web cvs showe= d=20 that in neither 4.7 nor HEAD such an addition has been applied as of this= =20 writing. The change is as easily applied in HEAD as in 4.4 or above. The change appears to be stable under any mix of hot or cold boot conditi= ons=20 between different OS' (BSD4.4, Linux). The 3c555 (Vortex Laptop Hurricane) can be found in e.g. Gateway Solo3150= =2E Please let me know if interested in including this change in HEAD (BSD5).
