NetBSD/Alpha has ttyE0/ttyd0 (the real device) IIRC (don't have one up at the
moment). NetBSD/Sparc has console because you're always guaranteed a prom
telling you what console is.

I personally like having a getty on /dev/console because, as you say, you'll
always get something. But if the consensus is that you must run the getty on a
real device (why even *have* a /dev/console then, I mean showing up in /dev?),
then I need to know whether we should add zs0 back to /etc/gettytab.
