You can tell boot where to go with /boot.conf > echo '1:sd(2,a)/kernel' > /boot.config for example. >From 'man 8 boot' You may put a BIOS drive number, a controller type, a unit number, a par- tition, a kernel file name and the -b, -D, -h or -P options in /boot.config to set defaults.
