It wasn't listed anywhere in the documentation / wiki. I only found it after I had posted that patch. eg: http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/developers-handbook/kerneldebug-online-gdb.html I had to do a whole lot of searching to finally discover that particular option. And yes, it'd be nice to have -b so I can use -b and -r to instantly open up a remote gdb session. Adrian
