OK, on two occasions now, I've been burned by portupgrade. First when doing a "portsclean -C", when I assumed that held packages would not have their work dirs cleaned, and then again, when I did a "portupgrade -f" on a number of packages, and a held package was included in the list accidentally, both times resulting in the loss of some customizations I had done. Is there any chance of adding a switch or some other sort of functionality that will tell portupgrade and friends that "I *really* want this package held; don't touch it under any circumstances"? Seems this would be a useful thing to have. -- Conrad Sabatier <conrads@cox.net> Klein bottle for sale ... inquire within.
