I have a machine in my charge that has been rebooting itself on almost a daily basis. The only clues I have found so far are entries like this one: Feb 11 15:38:01 beta /kernel: vm_page_free: freeing wired page which appears immediately before some of the reboots but not all of them. I'm not getting signal 11 exits from any software so I don't know if I should suspect faulty memory. The system is: FreeBSD beta.mydomain.net 3.1-RELEASE FreeBSD 3.1-RELEASE #1: Mon Aug 30 05:13:48 GMT 1999 root@beta.mydomain.net:/usr/src/sys/compile/MYDOMAIN-BETA-1 i386 Where should I look to isolate and correct this problem? This server is going to be hosting a specialized email service that is planned to "go live" in just under 60 days so any and all help and suggestions will be appreciated. --Ben Williams mailto:received@email dot com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
