<quote from 7890-Status> What should this patch do? It should fix all those systems that used to hang at the "downloading sequencer" stage. </quote> I do get considerably past "downloading sequencer" now, but it still bails on me. Only device on the 7890 is Quantum Viking II 9.1WLS Ultra2-LVD. Here's where it hangs: (scsi0:0:0:0) Sending command 29/0x4 to QINFIFO (scsi0:-1:-1:-1) Sending commands to QINFIFO scsi : aborting command due to timeout : pid 1, scsi0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0 inquiry 00 00 00 ff 00 aic7xxx driver version 5.1.0pre5/2.0.35 Controller type: (the same old flags, sequencer isn't paused stuff, then): (scsi0:0:0:0) dev_flags=0x21, WDTR:N/Y/Y, SDTR:N/N/N, q_depth=1:1:3 (scsi0:0:0:0) targ_scsirate=0x0, targ_offset=0 timed out command is scb #29: Tag29: flags=0x4, control=0x40, TCL=0x), Sent QINFIFO: (TAG) Current SCB: (SCBPTR/TAG/CONTROL) 0/29/0x40 WAITING_SCBS: (SCBPTR/TAG/CONTROL) 255-> FREE_SCBS: (SCBPTR/TAG/CONTROL) 1->1/255/0x0 2/255/0x0 3/255/0x0 . . . (this pattern continues through 31/255/0x0) If I don't "panic_on_abort" it scrolls "Data Parity Error during PCI address or PCI writephase Received a PCI Target Abort" error ad infinitum. -P ______________________________ P a t r i c k W.
